 My house by the river,

Surrounded by green forests.

The shed of my house in the south wind,

Clang all the time.

Moon- Setara peeks at night.

Baishakhi Tandab at the end of Chaitra

Saw barely across the city today.

সবুজ অরণ্য ঘেরা।

দক্ষিণে হাওর মোর ঘরের চালা,

ঝনঝন পুরো সারাবেলা।

চাঁদ-সেতারা উঙ্কি মারে নিশি বেলা।

চৈত্রকাল বৈশাখী তন্দব

শিল সবে আজ শহর জুড়ে।)
